Schools in Georgia

If you've ever heard the late Ray Charles sing the old Hoagy Carmichael classic, you already know that Georgia must be a fantastic place to live. Known as the Peach State, Georgia got its original name from King George II of England. In case you forgot your school lessons, King George II was the guy who taxed us without giving us representation.

With a population just over 8 million, Georgia has become quite a cultural Mecca. For food, entertainment, sports, and recreation, Georgia easily competes with her New England neighbors. In fact, Georgia's other nickname is the Empire State of the South. There are few college towns (except for Boston) that can rival the capital city of Atlanta. The state's ideal location allows Georgian residents to hit the beaches, the big cities, sunny Florida, and laid back South Carolina. No matter who you are, Georgia has something to offer you.
