Schools in Connecticut

There are few states that are more patriotic than Connecticut. For starters, "Yankee Doodle" is the state song. In addition, Connecticut is sometimes called the Provisional State because it provided the majority of the food and cannons during the revolutionary war. Others know it as the Constitution State because Connecticut's original state constitution served as the basic framework for the United States' Constitution. Connecticut is about as American as you can get. Bet you didn't learn that in school.

With about 3.5 million people, Connecticut is a relatively small state, but it has one of the best education systems and standard of living in the Union. Its capital city of Hartford is a small bustling metropolis in a sea of pleasant suburbia. If you're looking for big city excitement, New York is just a short drive away. To the north, Boston always offers good weekend excitement.
