If you do not have a bachelors degree in one of these fields, you should strongly consider going back to school. There is not a lot of room for trial and error in the world of advertising.

Job outlook for advertising managers

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the job prospects for advertising managers are excellent. Every year, advertising real estate becomes more competitive. Global markets, changing trends, and increased productivity translate to very high stakes.

Consequently, companies are willing to pay handsomely for true marketing and advertising skills. Openings will grow more quickly than the national average for other occupations. You can expect to make a median salary of $60,000 a year.
