Okay, maybe the situation is not that rosy, but computer service technicians are not far from the knights in shining armor that come to rescue us in our times of need. If you have ever considered becoming a computer service technician, here are some things you should consider.

Certification is not that hard to secure. You can complete your certification in a matter of months depending on the program you choose. Some computer service technicians actually have no formal training at all (although this is not recommended if you want a lot of clients).

Everyone will love you. You’re the one who saves the day time and time again.

Everyone needs you. You can charge a premium for your services. People tend to call on your when they’re desperate. Just don’t get too greedy.

You’ll always have a steady stream of customers. Unless they build a computer that lasts forever, you will always have work. This is a promise.

It’s a useful skill to have. Your own computer will break down from time to time.
